Hi everyone am after a bit of advice if anyone can help.  Have just put my engine back in my FD after having it out for a leaky sump and to change the main rear oil seal.
After I had put it back in started first time so left it running for a few minutes and switched her off to check coolant levels etc.  Started back up but would cut out after a few second, just before it cut out the rev counter goes upto about 4000rpm then the engine just dies.  It did this a few times and now ir just won\'t start, is turning over fine just not firing.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated can\'t seem to find anything myself.

Hi Dave,

Real sorry to hear your still not having any luck :3Confused

The rev counter bit is puzzling, do you have a stock ECU you can plug onto the car to see if it starts just incase the ECU has died.
All the best Clive

Kinda sounds like a fueling problem.
iirc, the fuel pump goes into hi flow when cranking then reverts back to normal flow. Maybe the relay (fron of the engine bay) is getting stuck?

Did you reset your ECU yet?

Thanks for the advice.  I know clive it seems never ending to me.  I am running a Apexi Power FC so not a standard ecu, dont have a standard ecu to plug in try. There are no faults up on the commander and it is saying that the fuel pump relay is coming on when trying to start it.  Will check it properly tomorrow after work, I thnk fuel is getting through as have fuel pressure on my fuel pressure regulator.  Also just before I started work on the engine I had to move it on the drive and it dstarted first time and ran fine with no problems.
Could it ba a possibility that I have flooded the engine would this cause the engine to turn over but not fire?
