Right then guys.... what sort of MPG ruductions are people getting when the car goes from stock to around the 300 mark???? going to be fitting V-mount, d-cat, down pipe & power FC in the new year & looking for around the 280 - 300!! so any figurs??? I\'m getting about 24 MPG on a run taking my time at the moment.

I think really its all down to the mapping, and how you drive. Standard car i was getting around 250 miles out of a tank, now its between 150-180 on low boost taking it slow:2Confused which is about 380fwhp

Standard UK Spec I was getting about 28Mpg (Using Optimax) if I was driving carefully. I found I got more miles to the tank when using Optimax (as it was then)

I am now at 300FWBHP and currently on a overly very rich map (as I am due to go back with more bits soon)  I still managed 25Mpg when being considerate but this would have been better if I had had the mapping finished.

I now see no gain in Mpg wether using Regular, Super or V-Max now I have the Apexi PFC.

Using as a daily drive I used to get about 250 miles to a tank of 99 RON Tescos stuff, fairly easily.

Had it mapped to 300 FWBHP recently and its a bit of a struggle to get it to 250 miles, but possible.

Due to the time of year and weather I\'m not ragging it. Fuel consumption has gone up, but not a huge amount.

So basicaly there souldn\'t be a realy noticable drop in MPG then??

I dont even pay attention, fill it up when it needs it. If you care about MPG get a diesel.

I record mine and yesterday with the fog I hit a new high of 18mpg. This is entirely motorway driving every day. Mine\'s stock twins running at 280rwhp @ 0.8bar

Since winter hit, I have been getting over 16mpg every tank. That\'s probably because I barely get above 4,000 revs each trip at the moment, apart from clearing it\'s throat when I can (holding on tight in a straight line :evillaugh)

I don\'t understand how anyone can get above 20 mpg with these cars. Prove it!

195 miles on £37 Just over half tank!!!! Prety stock apart fron induction & cat back!!

OK, on reflection, that was a bit direct :Hammer

It\'s just that this car and my previous car have poor fuel economy and yet people on that forum and this, claim to get mpg over 20 (or 30 on the other) and I just can\'t see how.

I know that my driving is likely to waste fuel when the road is dry, but at the moment I am driving like a granny because I can\'t afford to have a slide and write off my car (or my life, frankly). My car has been tuned on an Apexi by RE:Worx and should be quite efficient as a result and yet I get figures of between 12 and 18mpg over the last three months (going from dry roads to wet roads over that time). Should I be thinking that my car needs leaning out - or conversely is your car running dangerously lean?

I got excited yesterday because I\'d done 130 miles from half a tank which is a record :Hammer

P.S. the only mods on mine is induction kit and de-cat back - I have a new downpipe but it\'s not been tuned for it yet which may explain the record high mpg i.e. it\'s running leaner than before.

Mine is on a stock Jap ecu at the moment with like i said above, a cat back and an ARC induction box running K&N filters!!!
What are your filters like as when I chainged mine I had an increase in power & MPG!!!

Can\'t explain how I get a high mpg - I just do.  Even on a tank of short journeys I still get 18+Mpg.

As for getting a diesel I really don\'t think it would be economical to have 4 cars! If I want to take my car out and enjoy it I will, there is nothing wrong with knowing how many Mpg your car gets.
