I really love Fc\'s,

Sarahs TII decided to dump its guts all over the road the other morning on her way to work.:(  ( not the reason I love FC\'s lol)

She was just driving calmly through a 30 limit and the oil light came on and a buzzer went off so she pulled over straight away.:Thumbsup!

It got transported home by the very nice AA man.

I got it on the jack yesterday and found out what the problem was. It was the oil feed pipe from the block to the top of the oil cooler which had split inside the joint from hard pipe to soft pipe. When the engine was running and the oil was under pressure it was p***ing out of this joint.

So I (with the help of Sarah) inspected the EGI and found that it had the exact same pipe :wiggle :Party

So I (with the help of Sarah) took that pipe off and replaced it with the one from the EGI and all is now good :yes :3gears-rh

In the space of roughly 2 hours it was investigated, diagnosed and fixed. All thanks to the ample room under the bonnet on these cars.

I must add that I am by no means a mechanic but I love tinkering with and fixing the cars. I just found it quite easy to work on and was very happy to do it.

Sorry for boring you all but I just thought I would let you know what had happened :D

Nop, all safe and sound and oil pressure is good.

No permanent damage thanks to Sarah\'s quick thinking.

I am sooo glad we didnt sell her EGI off as spares/scrap. Just think of the cost of a new pipe from Mazda lol
