Am wanting to replace my back reflectors, so at the weekend thought i would take of the ones on me car off just for fun.

When taking the one under the petrol cap on the nearside rear quater i found a wiring loom and a buld holder placed inside what i thought was a reflector.

After checking the other side, which was just a reflector, i thought i would try and find out what this was. So after placing a buld in the end and trying every switch and light combination i could think of, NOTHING.

As this is my first rx7 i thought some people on this forum may know something about this strange happening.

RAW

probably US spec side running lights. i have bulb holders too. doubt they were wired in for Jap or UK cars.

i think it is a U.S spec one, mine didn\'t have any wiring for them, but i wired them so that they do light up,

I tried placing a blud in it and nothing and its only on that one side.

r0284 - how did you do that, would like to do it to mine. Wiring is not my strong point.

I\'m an electrician, so it\'s easy for me fortunately, but its not difficult really , just a matter of getting the wires from ther rear lights down through the cavity to the reflectors, and connecting them off the sidelights, the hardest part is my reflectors had no bulb holders in, so i modified them with bits from a scrap ford scorpio, yours may have bulb holders, i\'m not sure it\'s legal in UK but hey i like it,

They tend to sell clear ones on ebay with bulb holders on the States I think. I think the running lights should be legal as Volvos and some newer BMs seem to have them :)
