Separating lense covers and lenses?

Hi all,

Anyone recommend a way to do this?

I bought some aftermarket front sidelights for my FD but they have a silly orange bit in for the repeaters. Problem is it\'s screwed in inside and I\'d need to remove the lense covers to remove them.

Any thoughts?
