As you may know 07 number plates are now for sale at the DVLA, so I was thinking it would be cool to have an RX07 plate...

However can I actually put this on my car, cos its a newer plate than my car is?

Surely if its a private plate I can put it on any car?

Sorry a plate isnt able to make a car look newer than it really it is!  It is a shame....  So the answer is no

That\'s a bit rubbish...

Surely the DVLA thought of RX7 drivers when they bought in this new system!!!

Mind you most of my car is NEW, with all the parts I\'ve bought for it...does this count? :chat

Thats a fantastic case! ;)

You could however buy one in anticipation of the new RX7 Mazda are bringing out......one day!

This is possible but costs a lot.

For example, my friend has an RS turbo series 2.

So far he has had the front end removed and replaced with a space frame, a BMW rear end, cossie YB with borg warner T5 cog swapper, 380mm brakes front 330mm rear, carbon-kevlar seats, blah blah blah.

Basically the car is completely new - he is trying to get RS07 RWD as a number plate, but they are deffo letting him register it as an 07.
