Eddie

Been going round in circles on this for a while now, and was wondering if anyone can advise please.

My heater controls do not work from within the car.

If I try and turn on my fans or AC I get no joy, the hazards work and the dimmer but no fna controls or vent posistion control or temp work or light up.

The fans work when the ecu tells them to come on to cool the engine and I have had the heater working once or twice in the past, it has sat for a while in my garage when used daily they worked all the time.

Would no gas in the AC systme maybe cause the whole system to not come on?

I have checked the relays in the engine bay and all seem okay, the fuses are ok. Just wondering if it could be the heater controls themselves and if anyone can advise how to maybe diagnose a problem witt them, I am looking at a set on ebay at the mo but I dont want to buy them if it could be something else I have not checked.

Any advise welcomed.

Cheers

2 things:

Have you tried popping off the facia that houses the buttons, check the connecter is secure behind ?

My vent position control never used to work.  There is a metal bar going to a servo, you have to get down in the driver footwell and feel round up behind the cigarette lighter, sometime the bar gets unconnected and so it needs to be hooked up again.  Worked for me..
