I am thinking of buying the Apexi Power FC Boost Controller kit for my single turbo that I am putting on my 92 FD.  I was wondering if anyone was using one and what they are like for a single turbo FD.  Or is there a better boost controller anyone can recommend.   Any advice appreciated.

Ive heard a lot of people slate these, the preferred choice seems to be the Gredy Profec BII

As above, Apexi boost kit is none too clever (not to be confused with other Apexi boost controllers, which are good :)

My favourites are Greddy profec b, Biltz DSBC and Turbosmart e-boost.

Thanks for the advice will keep clear of it then, will probably go for the greddy profec BII then seems like a safe choice, any good suggestions where i could get one from.

MAX how good is the E-Boost? i have been looking at it? is it like a dual stage jobbie???

It\'s very good at controlling boost, and is a handy round gauge shape, so looks a bit flash as well.

It can store 4 boost levels from memory, but I always have to get the manual out to set up boost!

Press and hold mode button whilst pressing up key, then hold mode button till display flashes, up button to change figure etc etc!!

Once its set up though, its a doddle to switch between boost levels.

sorry dont slate me here im a newbie! but what do these things do ?

They control the amount of boost that the engine will see. If you set them for 1 Bar (14.4 PSI) of boost, then that should be (if fitted correctly) what you get.

Most are better than some.
