Does anyone know (typically) what a 235 40 17 tyre would weigh?

I\'ve bought a set of wheels in Japan and need to make a judgement do I pay the extra in postage or pay the extra to have them removed from the wheels and then posted.

Jap tyeres are useless over here, I would ship them without, as you\'ll replace them when they arrive I hope

Kron

I was always going to replace them as I know they have a very bad rep on our roads. The problem is that I think the potential charge I\'m being quoted to have them removed is way out of sync with what it should cost even though its very expensive in Tokyo.

Anyone? Ideally I\'d need to know tonight!

They are going to be around 10Kg\'s each - that\'s for a Toyo Proxes

But I know my F1 Eagles were not far off that weight and they are 225/45 R17\'s - they weigh more than the rims in many cases !
