Read up on NOS and the 13B and might go for it for the odd street and A road blast eventually.
What is the likely cost for a 50-75hp wet shot system (don’t say the engine :D)

Anyone here have a kit installed and how effective is it ?

Does anyone use a spray bar across the IC ??
Have seen this used on Skylines using FMIC but haven’t come across a Rex with it yet.

check with ins co as i doubt they will cover u with nos installed

Devil\'s Refugee

How come ?
Because of the large HP gains ?

rx7veilside

nos is something ins companies hate..not because of hp gains but more with the delivery method ie racing and pushing go button and also they accept fuel as a fire risk but nos is regarded as being too much of a risk

Its also illegal to have nos in the car on the rd, thats why.

rx7veilside

that is also a good reason

Mr_7

what are your reasons for wanting to install NOS?

I had this on a 205 mi16 its true what they say its like a virgins first time its all over in 10 seconds, however for those ten seconds its good its exactly like the films its a kick in the arse i ran 75 jets on a wet syetem, braided lines, bottle warmer and loved it but nothing compares to linear power delivery that way you can use it all the time not just in a straight line.

What are your mods to the engine? If you run this system the safest way to protect the engine would be to run a standalone ECU so you can retard the ignition to prevent detonation when engaged, also that way you could map a progreesive controller into it make it more friendly!

I\'m running a full stainless exhaust system (downpipe, high flow cat, rear section, HKS RS induction and PowerFC ECU at the mo with uprated pump and 850cc secondaries.
Looking at upgrading the IC fairly shortly too.

Do power Fc\'s have the ability to run different applications? i thought the processors didn\'t have enough bits to allow for this? could be wrong on that!

However if you do go stand alone you can run anti lag, progressive nos, luanch control loads of things here is a link to one of the best on the market a friend used it on his escy cossy the only downful was he had to get a custom lume made!:

I used a NOS system kit everyone love Wizards as there soliniods are fualtless but there kits are cheap non braidied lines, bad unions and pooh brackets the NOS system never failed me. I personally have gone away from it due to its not raw power that you can use on track all the time, your feel silly using it to overtake something then it runs out!

i bought my kit for £550, i got numerous jets with it. from 25hp up to 100 hp. it was a wet system. i couldnt really notice the difference on the rx7 with 75 jets on. but it was running 445 @ fly. befopre i took it off the road.
i swapped it over to my g/f xe\'d nova and it span up to 120mph in 4th.

id recommend nos. i think its great. i dont know why so many people are scared of it. especially if its set up properly and not bodgesd on. although i do see as a bit of a cheat power wise.

i got pulled numerous times in the nova and rx7 by the police and i only had one comment about the big nos bottle in the boot, from the plod.  and was \' dont use that you\'ll pull the wheels off\'  lol
