I\'ve been scouting around for a few days now trying to get a half decent quote for my modded Type RII.

MODS: Apexi PFC, 18" Split Rims, Stainless Zaust, HKS Filters, Cusco Coilovers, Efini Y Pipe, HKS Down Pipe. Cat 1 Security, No Tracker.

After spending countless hours being told,

"that year only comes in Automatic"

"no such engine as a 2.6 TT, it says 2354cc on my screen"

"....how old are you.....26.....*sounds of laughter*......sorry mate no can do"

I finally spoke to Steve at Keith Michaels (Thatcham Branch) who quoted me £795 fully comp all mods declared with 6000 miles usage, £8000 value and like for like replacement on all mods. I was plesently impressed by this  

But then A Plan rang and quoted me £650 fully comp all mods declared with 6000 miles usage, £8000 value and like for like replacement on all mods. Now thats more like it! £130 deposit and £65 a month  

Now means I can spend more ££ per month modding than insuring the damn thing!

Aye, I found the guy I spoke to cocky and arrogant and he was shocked at the quotes I had already been given. He said before we started he could beat any quote I\'d already got.

IIRC the flux quote was in excess of £1000!!

So he was well off the mark.

When I had my Astra GTE 16v I was insured with ASdrian Flux through the performance Astra club and they where very very cheap for me back then.

I\'m with A-plan - very good quote with them too. I also double checked to make sure it was the right engine, knowing that some have only the 2.4, and it was.

Ive just had a quote from A-plan over the net on a 3rd gen RX7, can get it to come up as 2616cc but only selection is Auto and no import option? The quote is very good on this. Is it best to contact them by phone?

Did you try Steve at Egger Lawson? sorted me out agin this year. I\'m 25 and paid less than you with a fault accident costing £8k the year before last and 3 points.
