Your RX-8.....not if these delays keep piling up!

Anyone else (UK) get that (suspiciously named) "Delivery Update" letter from Mazda this morning?

If not, for "Delivery Update" read "Delivery Delay". When placing my deposit my dealer told me to expect delivery at the end of August. Next time I spoke to him it was end of September. Now this letter says it\'s somewhere between mid October and end of November. If you factor in a few more delays (well, I\'ve had 3 so far, so another is not unexpected), it\'ll be year 2004 before I take delivery.

This means having to spend several hunderd pounds on a major service on my current motor when it\'s service is due around November, plus the cost of some new boots. I was hoping to avoid all this cost IF the delivery date had been as planned....grrrr....Added to that is that fact that Mr Mazda will have had my bag-of-sand for almost 9 months...imagine the extra interest he\'s earning on all those pre-orders.
