Hi all, hope you might be able to shed some light on this. I have read through all the threads i can find on MRC with regard to this problem, but none really describe the same problem.

What is happening is the idle will not stablise, it will hunt between 1300-1600rpm constantly.

I have now checked all Vac pipes (Plenun removed), Cleaned & refitted idle control, Cleaned & refitted Plenun/TB, Cleaned & oil\'d throttle linkage, checked gaskets on plenun/TB, inspected tub for boost leak and elbows. I have also tried removing my Power Fc & refitting standard ECu no change.

This fault occured after my trip home from RS on the monday (200mile trip), spent 2hrs stop/start on m25 on the Sat. It happened after i floored it in 2nd hitting 0.88boost (boost set to 0.85 on AVCR) and went to 6.5k. So my natural thoughts where vac pipe has popped off, but like i say can\'t see anything off. Also my clutch switch is not working no more, it is stuck closed.

Car is \'93 FD, rebuilt in \'04. Any help would be great as me and Nick are totally out of ideas.

Cheers Stu

When running pull the elbow off the throttle body and check you don\'t have a leak in the butterflys. I\'ve got a TB that i can\'t use for this reason !

brilliant matey, will try that tonight. So just check they are sealing properly?

Any other ideas from any1, while i\'m ripping the car apart, LOl.

yep, mine was caused by the them just not sealing. I was lucky that i could swap it back to the original one.
