help with wireing

hi guys,

does anyone have a pic of where the battery cables join the looms in the engine bay?the last guy seems to have ran the car without one or has covered where it had once join with 2 miles of electrical tape, i have a set of cables to use but i want to know where it can be joined.also whats the best way to join them, i\'ve never done electrical work other than fuses and wireing a plug up!
