My new rims which ET do i get?...just wondering because on RX7 club they seem to use funny offsets etc :Hammer  beats me...but anyway my new rims are available in

Front 8x18" ET 30 or 42
Rear  9.5x18" ET 30/38 or 45

Which do i need?

I think its ET 30 all round...? Although im sure that the ones i tried @ Ultralight were ET 35  :Hammer

Please explain...

I\'m not sure about the front, on the rear though I\'d go with 38.  Mazdaspeed rims for the Rex are 9.5 with a +38 on the rear, if Mazdaspeed go with that I\'m sure it should be fine.

I posted an attachment on here a while ago which is an excel spreadsheet which will calculate everything for you, just drop the offsets in and it\'ll tell you how far inside/outside the arches the wheels will be and how far from the inside of the arch as well.

It\'s the most useful thing ever but obviously not good enough for a sticky  :3Confused

Standard offset of an FD is 50, if you get a wheel with an offset of 32 it will stick out past the wheelarch and if your lowered it will rub.
I have et40 on the back and that rubs when i hit a bump at speed.

heres the MRC sticky on the subject of offsets

Heres a link to a wheel offset calculater

So do i need 42 at the front & 38 at the rear then?

ET42 atf will stick the wheels out another 8mm from where they are now...& increase inner clearance another 8mm
ET30 atr will stick the wheels out another 39mm from where they are now...
ET38 atr will stick the wheels out another 31mm from where they are now...but will decrease the inner clearance by 7mm

I did check the sticky thread but it didnt really do me any good because it doesnt say what the best offset for 18" is...

So its 42 atf and 38 atr then...

Freddy

ET 30 all around, may just need a little arch rolling on the rear.
