Hi there,

Whilest changing my air filter yesterday i noticed a small amount of oil in the top left corner of the filter. I assume this is from the turbos via the dump valve.

Now, is it better to have this happening or is it better to buy new dump valves and have them vent to atmosphere and thereby not reduce the efficentcy of my nice new K&N air filter?

Cheers, Paul.

This is called blow-by, and nothing much to worry about. The turbo\'d rotary engine is known for this, and happens on higher boost piston engines.

Fit an Oil-catch tank, it will sort it. HTH.
