I\'ve had a strainge boost problem the last few weeks on my FD!!!
So I have finaly gotten P\'ssed off and started to pull things apart and investagate the issue!!

Basicaly what is hapening is:

First turbo kicks in fine about 2000 rpm and no issues!!
But at 4500rpm (when the second blower is suposed to come in) basicaly it doesn\'t and the boost drops off as the RPM rised, untill you get to about 5500rpm when there is no boost at all (engine drawing all that the first turbo can push out???) then when you back off the blow off valve makes a wierd chirp noise that lasts of about half a second!! put it in the next gear and the first turbo kicks in fine again (if you back off befor the trasition point the blow off valve makes the usual noise!)

I\'m just wondering....... could the actuator on the exaust butterfly be stuck shut / disconected itself stopping the second turbo spooling up???
(All this happend when I was driving home one night after a car meet, I got dazzled by a car on main beam, & once my sight had returned I was plowing through 20 Tesco bags full of rubish that were in the middle of the road!!!!)

Has anyone ever had this problem???? I\'ve cheked the hoses I can see and the all seem to be connected & in tact!!

I\'ve attached a pic of the turbo set up...... would I be correct in thinking that the bottom actuator is for the wast gate and the top one for the spool up on the second blower????

Please help as I\'m getting anoyed with my mates in their Skyline GTsT\'s passing me!!!!

The bags sound ominous !  Maybe one got caught in the intake???

Is the first turbo creating enough boost? It has to create at least 0.5 bar for the second turbo to work.

It sounds like the second one is not being put into the main intake to the intercooler at 4,500rpm. This could be for several reasons. Primary isn\'t enough. secondary is being pre-spooled. The charge control valve isn\'t being opened up. Possibly the pre-control is open so that the second turbo is not pre-spooling.

As you can see, there are many, many problems that it could be. You need to go through them and eliminate them one by one. Try:
