Yellow gunk oil filler cap

How long and how many miles has it been since you last saw YELLOW?

when I bought the car there was a half empty tub of HKS fully synth racing oil in the car. Checking the oil, I noticed it was around half full (would correspond to the 2 and a bit litres missing out of the hks tub)

After changing the oil, it\'s taken a good 5500 miles to get rid of the gunk i\'d say, I checked it about 2 weeks ago when topping it up and it was there... may help to try what was suggested before, drive it for a bit with the oil you\'ve put in there and do another change after about 1000.

I know where ya coming from mate, you\'re thinking "how long do I have to wait to find out if there is anything seroiusly wrong". After reading that entry on the USA forum... I thought "ahh it\'s common as muck so I\'m not gonna worry"

If you are seriously worried, i\'d go get it checked out. You know what my personal opionion is (which you can take or leave)... I think your car needs a fecking good drive and needs to be properly warmed up and cooled down before... i\'d go at least 200 miles... going from coventry and back to the dyno centre seems to have got rid of mine!
