rear bumper heat shield

I just bought some rear spats, and im thinking i need to fit a rear bumper heat shield as the high temps from the exhaust are already melting the bumper away, I found a nice carbon fibre job from rotaryextreme - but at 71 quid its a bit of an investment and it wont fit once i put my rear spats on.  

I need inspiration so i was wondering if anyone can show me pics of what you came up with?
