My buzzer comes on for a couple of seconds and sometimes just beeps a bit,Ive read the other threads after doing a search and dont think anyone has discribed the same problem as this... The buzzer only sounds on long journeys or on the motorway when I plant the right foot.Never on start up and never on a drive around the block. The radiator was replaced by previous owner so I thought it might be airlocked but its been drained and refilled.
Any ideas ?

I had a similar problem....turned out to be a faulty coolant level sensor..

check the single wire conector on the water temp sensor situated near the front housing top spark plug. this can get a bad conection and can cause buzzer to sound.
other sensor is for coalant level just under top rad cap, the green plug on the back of this breaks up with age and heat and can cause a bad conection.

I too had this problem. What you really need to consider is are you losing coolant? If it buzzes do you have to top it up with coolant again? If you are then you have a leak and your buzzer is fine, if you are not losing coolant, ie you take of the centre cap and can see green stuff, then your buzzer is faulty and likey to be bad connection/broken sensor.

If you are losing coolant then is your exhaust smoking (apart from starting), If yes then bad news, sound like internal water leak, if its not, like mine, you have a leak somewhere and these can be difficult to trace. Mine was the water pump gasket.
