Hi All

Can any one tell me what the bushes look like on an fd, has any one got a diagram.
I have a 96 imported RBathurst

My rear bushes apparently are gone according to Rotechnics, How much am I expected to pay?

Regards,
Michaelb

A lot, if you are having them done there  :Giggle
Quite a few members here have had them done at re worx.  They apparently do discounts for them, n not charging you silly hourly rates for fitting  :)

Hi

Thanks for that.  5 months ago I had a clutch job at ReWorks and they were tons cheaper than Rotechnics

I give them a call on Monday.  Have you had it done there ?

Think the tech manuals explain how to do it. It\'s not particularly difficult but it\'s not cheap to replace bushes unless they\'re polyurethane which reworx dont recommend. I\'m sure geoff said they were alright for the sway bar but i may have misheard, was too busy gawping at phil\'s car.

Either way the jury\'s out on polybushes.

Did they mention which ones? I wasnt aware they were easy to tell at a glance..

Some pics from reworx shop for replacement feed ones...

Rotechnis did not mentioned which ones, I will call Reworks Tomorrow for a qoute...

Here goes another 1/2 k I am sure...

I\'m not hundred percent sure how to check for worn bushes. However I\'ve just picked up an upper-arm for the front and notice one of the bushes is rock solid (it\'s stock so shouldnt be) having trouble moving it even with a screwdriver through the center, while the other one is fine, so that\'s not good and since i have to change one then i\'ll be changing four, two for front-left upper and two for front-right upper. Don\'t like the idea of new bushes on just one side :)  So that\'s 200quid right there for four new stock ones i guess. If you wanted to try polybushes then i know superflex will give you 10% off for replacing all the rears. At a guess i think its about 300quid but don\'t quote me.

The 94R - Suspension.pdf tech manual explains how to replace bushes. I\'ve linked it here for you.. http://www.amusement-arcade.com/94r.pdf  incase you need it. Rename it to something meaningful after :)    Upper front and rears are quickest, all others are a tad more annoying, unfortunately for you :)
