Bathurst cheap originally so what missing?

I just read the model guide and it states "Bathurst cut price model" and they were approximately 135,000 yen cheaper than the same age RZ.  The guide doesn\'t say what spec difference is, but for that sort of price difference its got to be big.  What do they lack?

RZ = 4,350,000 yen

Bathurst = 2,998,000 yen

i.e. bathurst new price is only 3/4  that of the RZ so a massive difference.

rz has 280bhp a different lsd and longer gearing
also only came in black if i remember correctly

I suspect it was year specific bathrust models (92-95)that may have been cheaper, not all were \'lower models\'.

Mine for example has twin oil coolers as standard + leather seats, carpets and fog lights, spoiler, etc and I know the 99 spec + bathurst model was pretty well spec\'d too, not cheap....

the RZ was much more than all the other due to the awesome recaro seats and extra power

i had a 0-60 of 4.8 sec aswell i think and a mcuh quicker 1/4 than the others due to the hp and different gearing and lsd

The RZ was slightly lighter with uprated discs, seats, and suspension, power was the same as the 99+ Bathurst and RS models at 280 bhp.

i\'ve just bought a 1994 R2 Bathurst. it was the 1st of the bathurst models and about 25% cheaper than the same year RZ

  R2 cars were missing these parts, from say an R or RZ

front and rear spoilers
engine bay strut bar
front fog lamps
rear wiper
rear plastic storage bins instead of 2+2 seats

what the RZ got extra over the R2 or R was carbon recaro seats and 17inch BBS wheels. not usually mentioned but i think the big difference is that under the 17inch wheels were 17inch brake discs and calipers

these are still very expensive to buy

oh and it\'s really important to note model year of RZ and exact bathurst type when making trying to make these comparisons

  there were something like 5 different kinds of bathurst, (R2 bathurst, bathurst x, RB bathurst etc) and maybe 4 different kinds of RZ

  for example the 1992/3 RZ was pretty much identical to the 1992 R model but for the carbon seats. (exactly the same engine i think) it even had the same 16inch wheels but painted gunmetal

  the 1994 RZ got the big wheels and brakes

and the last 2001? RZ was basically a spirit R without the spriit R logos
