Hi guys
Ive got a knocking on my back end, it knocks when my cars cold, yet stops when it warms up, any ideas what this could be? ive took it to a garage who couldnt find anything.
Had a look myself yesterday and noticed that while in japan someone had put tein suspension on, i was gutted in a way because i have told my insurance no mods, but i honestly didnt know.
Anyway the suspension looks fine and so do the bushes, anyone know of anything else it might be?

Another thing, which is going to make me sound realy stupid but i tried taking the wheels off yesterday and i couldnt, its like there glued on... is there a hiden nut or something? i am waiting for new alloys to arrive from fox, all my discs are rusty so i was just going to clean them up, They all need replacing but at 400 just before xmas, thats a new year job.

Any help or ideas you could give me
Thanx guys

There are only 5 nuts hold wheels on, they do sometimes feel like they have fused themselves on to the car, normally a good kick on edge of tyre does it, make sure its on axel jacks and you dont knock it off the jack.

Is it a really loud knock that is there when going slow and dissapears when driving normally? Wonder if youve had suspension done, they may have also put a 1.5 diff on. They tend to knock, but not just when cold,  unually when pulling away or going realy slow.
Bushes and bearings would knock all time not just when cold, I would have thought.

Hi m8
I kicked, hit, shoved, and sweared at the wheels and still they didnt move, everything is rusted up tho, only had the car 6 weeks, just imported it. To be honest i went to the rip speed opening and won a set of 17 fox with tyres so i\'m waiting for them to arrive......
I rang tein yesterday and they asked if my suspension  was hard, which it is, feel every bump..... i just hope its nothing to worry about.

Mark, have a look at the top of the shock absorber. If there is a little allen key slot, then the hardness of the shock is adjustable. Just turn them fully anti-clockwise to make it the softest.

The Japs do run there suspension very hard so would not be to hard to loosen off and give better ride and handling over hear. Jack car up on axel stands, so tyres are just from the ground by approx 1/4 inch, place wood behind wheel and hit from behind to loosen, wood (4x2) is to stop damage to rims and stop bounce off rubber. Nice 12lb hammer ought to do it ;-)

Make sure your wheels are staggered of they will look ****.

I run 8 front and 9 rear to fill the arches. not sure on offset but they fit really well.

As for the wheel, take off all nuts, jack it up and get a mate to pull the top out while you kick the bottom off.

My mate had a GTO and when ever we were swapping the road rims for the slicks we had problems getting them off. always was an argument.

P.S if you want stock suspension I\'m sure soemone will swap with ya.

Ive had a look at the suspension and i cant adjust it, theres nowhere to put a allan key, not that i can see anyway......

Should be at the top, a little screw that you adjust. maybe you have the bottom of the range coilovers and the stock top hats.
