Just wondering if anyone has had a same/similar problem.

When i press the button on the alarm fob it beeps and flashes the indicators no problems there.

But when i press the indicator stalk either way and the hazards i can hear the relay clicking but I dont see any flashing! The green light thats on the dash doesnt flash either.

Anyone got an idea? i checked the fuses they seem fine. but if anyone can tell me which one it is then that would be good as i dont have the owners manual.

Brett

Its possible that you have an EGI indicator control unit, IIRC when you got it the car was a bit of a dog? Could be that someone put the wrong cluster in.  Take the black bezel offf and check all the plugs are in properly :)

ah so it wont work unless i havea t2 specific one then? where abouts would i find this control unit?

Brett

The black bezel thats got the Indicator stalk, washers etc on is removeable (Has about 7 screws IIRC.) The indicator stalk is actually part of a larger assembly that contains all the control relays etc, if you get the bezel off you will see what I mean.  If you can read the part number off the back of the indicator unit I can tell you if its EGi ir TII. :)

thanks for your help!  :god

Brett

Nope, but I do have an incorrect Egi one going spare!  (I found this problem out a few weeks back)

only just got round to this today -- i now have the part number it says on the back of the module -- 513319. --  (plugs were in properly) but the instruments have been off once before as there was a screw missing on the back of the cruise control, and off the facia trim bit..

Brett

Take it theres still no joy in getting it to work properly then?

nah i cant suss it out, maybe theres something wrong with the loom. im gonna have to work on this one...

Brett

Seems like an irritating problem mate :(
All I can suggest now is following the looms back, the fact that the lights do work when the alarm flashes them makes me think the switch unit is faulty some how, if I had the right unit I would send you one mate.  Wonder if Grinder has one out of the car he broke?  What about the car you went and looked at at the scrap yard? DId that have an intact dash unit?
