Picked up my rex yesterday, but now i\'ve got a few questions.
First - How the hell do I get the wheels off? I can\'t undo the bolt by hand and I can\'t pull it off

Secondly. off the airbox to the right, there is a pipe that goes downwards. but doesn\'t seem to connect to anything   any ideas what it is?

Hi mate!

Great stuff.

I think that they just unclip - get a flat screwdriver and give it a try (don\'t wreck it though :) )  pretty sure that should work.

As for the Air Filter - is it a standard one?  Post up a pic.
Thanks,

DRAGON

The large nut screws off, and then use a knife to carefully remove the larger outer peice. There maybe a \'Volk\' spanner in the car somewhere. I have one if you get desperate.

The hose you are referring to is meant to be like that, if it the one I am thinking of.

Welsh Dan,

i just got my rex yesterday too guess what ? i have the same exact rims as you have too ! in 17" my car  is in red tho !

as far as i understand you can undo the center cap by hand then release the cap with some kind of flat head screw drive, there also should be some kind of tool in to tool box to undo the bolts.

What do you think of the rx-7 ??

Guys, one simple request.

When it gets wet out there, which with all this very nice weather we are currently having is not a nice thought, PLEASE PLEASE take it easy.

These cars bite hard in the wet, and have been known to spin with ease.

|What do you mean when, It\'s absolutely chucking it down up here.....:(   If I had a rex I would be in the house all the time in scotland....:rollin (good excuse not to go to work though)

((unless you have a big open carpark nearby with loads of open space - preferably gets very slick when wet...  then learn what you can do in the car, at low speeds, with no-one about... *grin*))

hi there,

you can unscrew the cap by hand or with special key. Every good tireshop should have this keys. (Well I call it key, maybe it called different)

Dont worry about the hose on right. Its like a silencer, you can put it down and you will hear some silly noise from airbox.

Best Wishes,

Iwan
still remember,

I do have one of these keys - where are you based??  I can post it if required...

You can get a wheel hub socket (65mm) from a decent motor parts place (probably not Halfords). The one I bought was 3/4" drive, meant I had to get a 3/4" to 1/2" adaptor so it would fit the largest breaker bar I had. However, when I bought these, I didn\'t realise they were only meant to be not much more than hand tight, so if you go this way, be careful not to tighten too much else you\'ll probably strip the thread.

It\'s the exit for unused air pump air.
At times, when the air pump is running, but air isn\'t needed, the air control valve (ACV) dumps the excess air.
This air dumping is rather noisy ("Moo" cow sound), so the air is routed through a muffler located in the top corner of the air box.
The exit from the muffler is the pipe you asked about.
It\'s not supposed to go anywhere.
