On the way home from Eastleigh this afternoon I noticed that the FD was pulling a little to the right on hard acceleration from 70mph, and if you lifted off suddenly the car would lurch to the left due to me counteracting the pull to the right.

Has or does any one else experience this?? or any suggestions what it might be??

I hope that all makes sense!! :)

torque steer.
Check your tyre pressures are even in the back too.

i would hazard a guess that your rear bushes are fduked

HI Rob, I can tell you if the bushes are worn, i had mine done last week at Tims, let me know,

Sounds to me, if this has only just started, that your tyre pressures are out. ( As Carl said ) I had the same problem. I run 28psi front and 30psi rear. That may well give you a starting point. Alter until you are happy.HTH. :)
I\'M ALWAYS IN THE SH*T IT\'S JUST THE DEPTH THAT MAY VARY.

Hi Rob,

If none of the above works think about looking at the rear shocks and then having a geometry check carried out as it could mean the tracking at the rear is out.
All the best Clive

Thanks for the advice everyone.
As it\'s pouring with rain I think I will leave it for today before I attempt to research the problem any further.
My instant thought was torque steer but I thought it felt a little severe for that. I could be wrong though as this is the first RWD car I have owned and also the first car with this much power.
It may well be tyre pressures as I\'ve not checked for 4 weeks I will check and report back (when the weather has sorted itself out!!)

Thanks again.
Rob.

Just checked the tyre pressures.. 30 all round so I think I can rule that out.

although of course i hope it is a cheap thing to fix, but if not, let me know!

PETE SMITH

Hi Rob,
Are all the tyres of the exact same tread pattern?
Different tread combi\'s can cause pulling to one side due to different surface grip times
It happened to me a few years ago

Thanks Dan, I will let you know.

@Pete... I\'ve just got back from ro284\'s (met with fro too!) and we realised that the tyres could be to blame. ATM they are all different patterns and differing tread depths.

I think my next step might be a new set of rubber on the corners.

Thanks for the advice :)

I had a very similar situtation caused by worn shocks, they dont take long to change so its worth having a look :)
