Goin Single?

Just wanted to know what else i will need to change on my car now I\'m goin single?
i know the FMIC pipe will need alterin,what else? Should i dump the air pump whilst I\'m at it aswell?

Yup get rid of the air pump, you\'ll need a blanking plate when doing this. I take it you have a manifold from the turbo and a wastegate. An upgraded fuel pump and regulator and larger injectors and a boost controller as the PFC isn\'t as good as a dedicated item plus a remap!! Nice heatshield and filter for the turbo would be a good idea too. I can\'t remember but do you have a vented bonnet? that\'d help too.

yeah got all the above apart from the bonnet,workin on that one. got the manifold, Tial wastegate and all the bits needed to bolt straight on. Just wondered what changes have to be made to mine when fittin. Also can someone tell me what a V-Band is? Some recommend it others dont :confused:

\'V\' band is the clamping ring from the turbo to the exhaust. hth  glad to see an other single on its way Jay :wave

Re the V-band
I think it depends on the initial quality of the turbo-compressor to down pipe flange join-usually 4 bolt connection.
My GT 35/40 Turbo join warped and blew horribly-with V-band 100% better!
You may find other single Turbo makes don\'t have the problem thus don\'t need a V-band

How long is it before you need to upgrade the oil coolers in the system?. I\'ve never really read much on what people have done. Been looking at the dual ones from rotary extreme in the process of going towards a big single !
