the lemster

hi guys hpe somone can help me on this one...

popped out earlier and gave it a bit of wellie and when we stopped at the pub we were going to the car idled at 2k or just over. maybe to 2200

if you press the loud pedal it drops to about 1200 then jumps back up to 2200

other symptom is that when driving and crawling along in traffic  with the revs still idling at 2200 I get a cutting in and out sort of jump, now this eems to be about 1500-2000 where as before this was occuring at about 2500 ... which I though and have been told was the  airpump...

any suggestions

ooh must say that the oil temp was quite high it is at the correct level checked it today.. temp was about 105c usually at 80c when cruising... had time to cool abit after booting it..

any help gratefully received

idle solenoid or vac hose split or twisted throttle cable or frayed cable spring to mind

the lemster

hmmmm took the vacuum box off and checked al lthe vac hoses... ahd them replaced recently so I doubt it would havebeen one of them... checked all the cables nothing obviously twisted or caught up...

one thing I was thinking about was the fact that when I installed my oil sandwich plate there is a little screw just above the oil filter, now this is slightly interferred with by the \'lifted\' oil filter is this the idle screw?  if so could it be that which is causing this.. I though it might but it wouldnt account for the pulsing?...

could it be an O2 sensor?..

any more ideas before I get it to a specialist...

that screw will affect the idle if u have altered it then i would expect the idle to have altered directly after fitting the sandwich plate..i dont think it wld pulso though..how about the idle solenoid valve maybe sticking

the lemster

where is the idle solenoid valve?

a picture would be most usefull..

cheers for advice

argh must be around throttle body somewhere but u need someone other than me to say where...it will have a elec connector to it
