I currently have a panspeed standalone ecu, I\'m guessing its mapped for 100octane fuel and for the mods I had when I got the car, since then its been ported and had a different cat back. I want to make my car safe as I dont want to rebuild it again anytime soon.
I was thinking of going the route of the A\'PEXi with commander pro, getting someone to originally map it for me and then be able to map it myself when I mod it but I cant afford the £800 ish its going to cost to buy the ecu, commander pro/excel and pay for the initial map so my thoughts are;

Keep my Panspeec ecu but buy the Greddy e-manage as its only £200 and comes with everything I need to plug into my laptop and start mapping.

BUT can this be done? afaik it takes the readings from the stock ecu and allows you to then make small changed to the timing and fueling as well as realtime datalogging so will there be a problem using the panspeed with the original map?

Sorry for the long post and poor English and hope that It makes sense to someone who can help

Cheers

£800 should see you apexi (comes with commander) and mapping.

Unless you have access to a dyno and wide-band lamda sensor then you\'re not going to be able to map it properly and safely (can you drive, on-boost in 3rd and operate a laptop at the same time? ;))

I\'d get a pro to do the setup initially and lokk into DIY at a later date when funds allow.

£800 will be more than enough to get it, install it, and map it mate!
