traction control possibilities on a RX7?

Just wondered if race logic traction control or wotever can be fitted to a RX7 with any success &/or implications?
Just wondered as someone had mentioned it elsewhere........

I know some guy in the US has the RAcelogic system.

As you can imagine cutting fuel in a turbocharged engine is a tricky thing to do without causing damage.

yeah i\'m more guna look at doing the Don Palmer type thing to try & train the numpty driver to do it rather than get sumin to do it for me but just wondered about RLTC when sum1 mentioned it since i\'d never seen owt control wise on or for the RX7

I think a couple of the FDUK guys have had problems with it. I *think* PhilG dumped the RL setup on his race car after he had it rebuilt (one of the first times!) ages ago...

As Mike says, using a fuel cut TC/LC on a turbo rotary doesnt sound such a great idea on the face of it does it...??

MoTeC traction control is probably one of the best systems you can buy, you have various options also for fuel& ignition cut, or just fuel cut, or ignition cut, etc..

how do the standard car systems work and does the RX8 come with T/C ?

Hi Mike,

It would be the same sort of thing, ignition cut and fuel cut at the injectors - along with wheel sensors on all four wheels.  Some of the early systems only had speed sensors on one back and one front wheel.

Of course, you could argue and say that the factory traction control systems would be better than MoTeC - or any other aftermarket system.  As the factory spends zillions developing (and not just for that one particular car).

But then of course you are restricted in what you can do with the standard ECU\'s.

I can think of 3 people that have had r/log and all got rid of it, one was threatning court action against someone. I have had 2 lots of traction control both with motec and no probs.
