I gave my car in for a full valet today. This included the wash of the engine area with a jet wash. Now the chaps did cover my alarm components and left the car running whilst washing the engine bay. However, the car now idles like a tractor, sounds like a tractor and missing badly.

My boost gauge is stable and not fluterring so I doubt it has taken a turn for the worst. I was going to try and de flood it but can you help fine what could have gone wrong?

Really hope I have it for the weekend as its been weeks since I last had a weekend to drive the RX. :(

You probably got some high pressure water go inside the rubber seals on things like HT leads etc, it will just sit there and recondense until you give it all an airing. Might be a case of getting in everywhere you can with a hairdyer and looking for signs of moisture? hope you have a few spare hours! lol

Have you checked to see if any vac hoses have come off

Would that mean lifting off the plenum cover and checking or vac hoses elsewhere?

Thanks

Check all the other ones e.g. the ones down ear the turbos on the itlet manifold etc.
Just have a good look over the whole thing. Get hands on with it and make sure every thing is attached and tight..

Especially check the MAP sensor.  It\'s located on the bulkhead and is in line with the throttle.  Should have a small hose connected to the bottom of it.
