Urgent Advice Needed

i need help,,, my rx does now dont have 5th gear it goes into 5th but revslike its in  neutral, all other gears are fine no crunching.

any advice please i would like to got to fast n modified on sunday do u think the selector may need adjusting or a new synchro or maybe new box???

I doubt it needs adjusting ... theres nothing to adjust really.

Sounds like somthing has broken so that a box out and rebuild job at least

are the easy to rebuild ie competent garage can do it

Jurgen, if you have a gearbox specialist in your area they can probably deal with the problem for you. The wife hade the same thing wrong with her gearbox back when she had her Mx5. They stripped it down and replaced the faulty parts ran fine after that. Check your yellow pages there maybe be a company who can advice you, hth cheers Leigh.
