Stopped working a while back, needle went fluttery for a while then stopped working all together.

I think the boost sensor can be ruled out because im still getting a boost reading  on the pfc, any ideas what could be wrong?

I didnt install these gauges and dont know much about how their fitted which is why I thought i\'d check on here for any common problems and how to fix them before I waste too much time faffing about :)

The gauges are apexi\'s from the el range

Check pipe connections to boost sensor, from sensor to gauge /control unit is electrical so you need to check electrical connections, power to gauge, unit etc.Do you have any other Apexi EL gauges,do you have the control unit,do they work ok?Bring it down to me if you like and i will look at it for you, another pair of eyes always helps.

cheers Gary, i\'ll check that. I have the control unit and another gauge but I never got round to hooking the other gauge up :rolleyes, i\'ll pull my finger out soon.

IIRC has been a couple of weeks since I drove the car but im sure they still light up so reckon they have power, ill give the pipe connections a check over.

duff

I have got the same problem my boost gauge flutters sometimes, its when im driving normally it flutters. it seems to flutter on idle sometimes as well but the boost seems fine when driving.

any ideas??

cheers ant

my speedo done a similar thing and that was the cable, from the way it went it seems to me like something has worked itself loose then eventually come off...dunno...i\'ll let you know what my problem was when it stops raining and i can go have a look at it, or when I fail miserably and take it to Gary :D
