Hiya chaps - ooohhh not posted in here for a while

right then just making sure my car is doing what its supposed to be doing

RX7 Turbo II
Full Decat Exhaust System
Blitz Induction Kit
FCD

the car is boosting to just under .8 bar - is this correct with the above mods ??

the in-dash gauge seems to not be reading much boost at all - just above 0

connect after market gauge and thats where the .8 bar reading is from

what is the next step - brett has suggested i change the fuel filter - just for safety in mind

im gonna stick an FD fuel pump in to replace the FC one - it gives out about 50 litres of fuel an hour more - so i suppose that should stop any possible underfueling

the AF Gauge in the car runs rich at full boost - so i suppose thats a good sign that its getting lots of juice in the car

would it be a good idea to stick some RedX ( injector cleaner ) thru the system just to make sure everything is nice and clean

so does all this sound about right for the mods - or is there something sinister going on under the bonnet

thanks for your time

I have an air fuel gauge on mine, just dont know how much i would trust them though, might be an idea to get it checked with a windband just to make sure... the cost of this would far outway a rebuild...

Fish

I wouldnt run a Blitz filter even if it was free. The filtration on them is CRAP!

The amount of dirt and crap is lets past is scary.

But .8 bar does sound ok. Remember that .8 is about 11.6 psi.

Fish

Brett

11.6!  Thats not a safe amount on a stock 13BT all things considered, I\'d get your boost controller on there asap mate, I think 10psi is the most you want to be running until you have the fuelling properly sorted.

why tell me this now - not impressed at all

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW - im gonna run off and cry somewhere

and i did say it was under .8 :) - the better half was reading the gauge for me - i reckon it was nearer .7 than .8 - but the gauges are pretty hard to read when you are driving

still not impressed though

Brett

I thought you had a boost controller ready to fit?

grinder

yeah i have - but the insurance dont like it !!

right then , quick email to pip has put my mind at rest

he says .8 is fine

i can prob go to 1 bar but says that fueling would need sorting out first

so if it stays at .7 - .8 bar - im happy ( until it all goes wrong !! )
