Hi, I am trying to install a HKS Fuel Cut Defencer in a series 6.

All I am getting is bad hesitation when I put it in anything other than the "off" position.
The manual says to put the dial at "7" and put it in between the pressure sensor and the ECU.
I am not sure I have the right wire for the pressure sensor. The manual is pretty vague and it even looks incorrect to me. It says "pictures show wire side of the ECU connectors" but if that is the case, they are shown in the wrong order ?!
I do get 12V on the red & black wires so these are correct.
The two other wires on the FCD are for the input from pressure sensor and output to ECU.

I already got myself a second FCD because I doubted the working order of my 1st one but the 2nd does exactly the same.

I have also installed an HKS F-CON V (not the PRO), Electronic Boost Controller, downpipe, cat-back and a HKS free flow intake.

Thanks !

Firstly, be very wary about using the FCD... It will trick the ECU into thinking you have less boost than the engine sees, and will maybe even make it run more lean than stock at stock boost (and above). It will also prevent the stock boost gauge from reading correctly...

However, not sure that you should see 12V on any of the pressure sensor pins. By S6, you mean a twin turbo? The turbo II uses 5v supply for the sensor, which makes sense, since it needs to be well regulated. The \'sense\' output should read something like 2.5V with the engine stopped, 1V at idle. At anything below 3-4V input, the FCD output should be almost exactly the same as the input, regardless of the setting.

Hope this gives you some clues!

Thanks for the reply.
It\'s a 1993 twin turbo.
The FCD has 4 wires. According to the manual, red and black need 12V. White & yellow interrupt the signal from the pressure sensor.
I have measured the voltage with engine off and it was a little over 2 volts so it looks like the right wire but I will measure it with the engine running too.
I know the FCD should not be used without some device to supply more fuel but my F-Con V takes care of that.
