Ive just bought a decat pipe for my FD, do i need to put on an apexi power fc or can i just upgrade the fuel pump & regulator or something else? Ive already got a  knightsports FCD fitted.
If i do have to get an apexi pfc does it have to be mapped straight away because im planing a rebuild soon & its gonna be ported so i dont want to have to pay for mapping twice.
cheers guys

hard to say really, every car seems to be different, I\'ve known some FD\'s (mine for instance, that detonated after decatting on a stock ECU, I\'ve known others be fine. If you want guaranteed safety then the answer has to be yes. There again you could be absolutely fine.

Get the power fc fitted just run the base map ( it\'s rich so you have no worrys there) do your de-cat etc etc then have the mapping done after you have run her in, thats what i did after taking advice from Geoff at REWORX. It worked for me.:wave
I\'M ALWAYS IN THE SH*T IT\'S JUST THE DEPTH THAT MAY VARY.

You will be O/K with a decat pipe fitted and an aftermarket backbox on the stock ECU .

You will find if you go to far it will boost cut which means as you go to accelerate the engine will cut out.

Hope this helps.

Real bad but it does mean you get a warning when your on a stock ECU that you have gone too far with your mods.

Cheers guys, think ill probably get the apexi then. Next question is where\'s the cheapest reliable place to get one, theres a guy from japan selling them on ebay for £425 but i assume id have to pay duty & vat on top of that?
