types of gauges?

Bonjour, i was going to treat myself to a boost gauge and ive made myself confused (not hard) by the choice that i have. Ive found 2 that i like, 1 is mechanical and is 40 quid the other is electronic and 150 quid, i was wondering which one is best and can you use both these on the fd? would the electronic gauge go to the little black box (rear passenger side) with boost on it? and the mechanical just have a tube thing.???????????????????
