boost problem ?

just before i took my fd3 off the road it developed an intermittent fault. as the second turbo came in on full throttle, the boost would spike up to 1.2 bar then quickly settle to 0.8 bar. which was normal.then the car would loose power. it would still run fine while planted but just felt like it was lacking a bit of torque and the engine tone would change. it still held 0.7- 0.75 ish whilst this was happening. it just didnt seem to be all there if you get me?

this was probably the catalyst to starting the single turbo conversion. but ive still never found the cause. only happened now and then usually after a long drive. could do it all day long then all of a sudden it would stop, run spot on and fly. at first i thought it was overboosting, but it didnt cut out. then maybe a misfire on one of the rotors. my friend said his used to do it and it was a cracked ex housing. anyone come across this before ?

problem found. just for anyone that may have similar symptoms. problem was a cracked turbo housing on exhaust side.
