Wires

While having a good look over the car I noticed there are quite a few wires under my bonnet (and in the boot) that have plugs on the end but are not plugged into anything!

I think the cars had a quite a few alarms fitted over the years (a few LED\'s in the car) and this may be the remains of them.  What I need to know is, are any of the plugs there for servicing (laptop etc) or do I jsut need to follow them all?

There are several around the engine bay, mostly green with 3 pins.  Are these what you are reffering to?  If so they are for the diagnostics etc.

Yes, I think most of them are, so they just hang there?

Should there be any in the boot by the rear lights?

Yep.  Thats all they do!

 I would fork out for a new alarm system too, that way when its fitted they will remove the old one and any left overs.
