I\'ve found a Trust 3 core FMIC that has been designed for a big single through somebody i\'ve bought from before. I can get some fresh tubo pipes manufactured to suit to fit the current twin turbo output to the FMIC. The intake pipe has been fabricated already to suit a standard intake. The big questions is if it is worth doing this first before i get the engine tuned at wgt ?

Its something i want to get done this year and if i can save the cost of a second tuneup im seriously considering buying the FMIC.

I\'m considering working towards a big single and the pipework that comes with it is designed for a T78/T88 turbo so will come in handy later on.

Is it ok to fit a 3 core FMIC to a basically stock setup with a pfc (with boost control kit) and uprated intake and exhaust ?? How much increase in turbo lag would i get on stock twins, would i make spike problems with the boost. The engine isn\'t ported, but is a engine with only approx 2k-3k since rebuild.

Will i need to uprate my injectors, fuel pump, anything else before i install the FMIC ?

Any advice would be greatly appriceated.

fmic will just give cooler intake with any mod just see how it goes if u get a boost spike then back off..turbo lag will be barely noticeable.get it done then retuned better now than pay twice later

I second that emotion. Cool air better whatever. Increased volume of the pipework for the FMIC might result in a microsecond of lag!

This thing is a big intercooler ! 15.75in x 10.5in x 4in

Its been remanufactured to make it sit in a better position as well.

What size is the intercooler pipes on the stock RX7 intercooler?
I can get a samco reducer to get it first bit in the intercooler sorted ! Then all i need is some stainless tubing from work to hook to standard outlet pipe to the new intercooler !

As said above, get it fitted!!!!

Spool up might be a little higher, but it will be worth it as you will get the cooler inlet temps.
