Just wondered if anyone knew of any performance exhaust manifolds for an NA 13b?

Cheers!:)

Brett

Racing beat do a particularly fine one!  I would recommend going for their full sports system, its very good! //www.mazdatrix.com sell them and I think Rotecknics over here do too.  I\'d imagine that WGT et al will be able to get hold of something suitable too!

If you are changing the manifold you will have to get rid of the air pump and its associated chambers below the plenum, a blanking plate will be needed to cover the hole left on the lower intake track.

Doing the exhaust change is good for around 25hp+

Cheers for the advice! much appreciated. I really though I was gonna be Pi**in in the wind with that question.. again, many thanks!

No worries, I should warn you that the standard exhaust can be a bitch to remove if its been on for a long time! (ie its the origional)

It doesnt look a fun job.. haha, been working on it most of today getting all the sound deadening out of the interior... that too is not a fun job :D

Brett

A Stanley knife is your best friend!  Cut the carpet out from around the main dash, unless you want to mess around for a day removing that whole huge plasic section to get at 4 bolts.... (Guess who\'s had a bad experience with that?)

Cheers for the advice but its all out, down to a bare shell on the floor. Just gotta prep and key it all ready for painting now. Ill get some photos up soon :D

Brett

Sounds good, are you putting the interior back in after the respray?  and did you find those little bolts at the very front of the dash (about .5" under the windscreen) a real bitch to remove?  :D

No the interior wont be going back in, tring to shed as much weight as possible as the car is being build as a drift specific car. the only interior ill be installing is a roll cage and pair of bucket seats. I havent encountered those bolts yet as most of the front interior was already stripped when i purchased the car ;)
