the hand brake light stays on even when the hand brake is down, any one got any ideas i suppose it could just be the sensor but wondered if anyone else has had this problem.

Have you checked your brake fluid level and sensor?

might be worth checking the pads and discs too, it happened to me twice b4, turned out to be pads down do the metal:D

If your fluid and pads are okay, try squirting a little WD40 (other lubricants are available) on the micro switch on the handbrake;)

I\'m not aware the the pads have sensors (mine has no wiring there) but if you meant the switch on the handbrake, its under the carpet (just pull it back a little near the base of the unit) you can get to it using the little straw attachment on you can of WD.

sorted, the fluid was a bit low so topped it up and will be checking system over on the weekend thanks all.
