I was fiddling around in the engine bay the other day and I had an idea , but I\'m unsure if it will actually have any benefit

If I removed the cover thats on the underside of the bonnet , removed the engine bay undertray and vented it to direct airflow into the engine bay would this help lower the engine bay temps

The way I see it removing the bonnet cover will allow heat to pass through the bonnet easier and obviously the more cool air coming into the engine bay the better , but will venting the undertray allow water enter the engine bay

Finally tuned - 317.3rwhp :burnout (thats 374.4fwhp for those who like bigger numbers)

Do not remove the under tray. This helps push air through the radiator. Thats assuming that the radiator is in the stock location.

and also i wouldnt recommend doing that during this weather season either...

no mate dont remove the undertray. i think i am right in saying that it is vital that a low pressure area is created in the engine bay with a high pressure area on the outside. removing this will upset the balance. ie air will not flow as well through the rad but bounce off it.
