Hi all, well with the red 1st gen on the road (would you believe that straight after MOT I had to change the clutch, then rekit the clutch master and slave cylinders.) I decided to take the spare engine apart. Hmmm 54mm nut on the flywheel end. No problem down to the local hire shop , and armed with a 1" socket set decide to remove the pulley nut first. Would it budge and how do you keep the engine from rotating? the whole family standing on it wouldnt stop it lifting off the floor. Am I missing atrick here or do I just use it as an anchor?

On another note, my \'daily driver\' also needs its clutch repairing, but because I now work away from home, a real garage is doing it for me. This means I had to bring the RX7 to Wollaston what a shame.

This it how we did it (pic below), long bar with two holes in to hold flywheel in position, 3foot breaker bar, big copper bar over breaker bar for even more leaverage and finally big muscley house mate ;)

Good luck,

Paul
