RX-7 Purchase Complete

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year.

I completed the purchase of Jon Powell's 1999 RS yesterday. It's gone straight in for a rebuild and a few minor items, and will be resprayed once its run in. I guess it'll be ready in a month or so.

I also have a 1999 RB arriving next Friday. I'd been looking for an unmodified RS for quite some time, on and off for 3 years in fact, and had given up and put a deposit on a freshly imported '99 RB, and literally 3 days later I saw Jon was selling his RS! As I was already committed to the RB I decided to go ahead with both purchases. I'll probably sell the RB at some point but it's also a nice example with great compression figures and also entirely resprayed, as the Japanese owner had done some 'interesting' paint mods, such as a gloss black roof. Not that tasteful ;-)

Fingers crossed for continuing mild weather so I can  get out and about in the RB next weekend.

I'll wait for the RS to be resprayed as it's a bit tatty at the moment, but it's also Mica Blue.
