What is the limiting factor that keeps rotaries from revving past like 12k? rotating assembly weight? friction? just wondering because I would love to make my 82 12a SCREAM!!!!! thanks againfor any help

re japi

Rev limiter is easy to take off ;)

Well, 12A loves to rev. However I would suggest that you wont use it to that purpose cause they are getting rare.

If you want to use that engine, you should get good engine builder to build it.

My 12A has revved 9500 without balansing rotors and e shaft. With proper balancing they can hit 11 easy
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

i figured that balancing would be imperative when spinning that quickly, thanks!

You may also want to have the rotors machine clearenced to stop them from coming into contact with the plates or housings at serious revs
