Hi all

Sooo took the car for an mot yesterday passed :) but after giving it back the headlights won't go down
The car has been in storage for the last year ish the lights come on and off but they won't retreact :(
There is a sleepy headlight switch but regardless of what position its in they won't go down :(

Any ideas on what it could be ?

Trying to remember if these are the same as FD lamps, if after lifting the bonnet you will find a red knob under a black cover, this will wind down the head lamp manually

Turn the ignition back on and see if they reset.

If not I would go for a switch fault,

More info can be found in General and technical where you will find full workshop manuals
All the best Clive

There is a knob on the retractor motor for each light which can be accessed under the front bumper - the knob is protected by a cover which you'll need to remove.  Make sure you pull the main fuse or disconnect the battery first.

Once done and reconnected as Clive says see if they reset.

Good luck!

If they fail each time, try adjusting the limit stops, as sometimes these can cause an over centre issue.

Failing that, look at the headlamp relays located near the washer bottle.
