UK warranty query?

mate mentioned that Mazda have extended there engine warranties to 8 years?

is this the US? and what criteria ? dont think id let them change the battery in the remote;)

and what warranty on an uk R3? ours is 2010 and i thought it was out after 3 years?

last service was Mazda but as thought warranty gone next service I am looking after car myself!

I asked Mazda for an official answer and was told that the USA warranty was a marketing thing and nothing to do with the rest of the world
