Hey Keith, I have two t88\'s out there that have done loads of miles and been running for over 5 years running bridge ports and making some decent power that aren\'t running restrictors, they are a plain bearing turbo.
Its only ball bearing turbos that need restrictors.
There is something else wrong in this case. it could even be a poor draining issue.
We warranty our rebuilt engines for Detonation, track day\'s and RWYB and NOW for 30 months which is two and half years or 30,000 miles
We also build all types of race or road engines.
We build race and track cars too.
Any kind of porting undertaken.
Single turbo conversions.

I don\'t dispute that Carl, and like you say oil return can cause the issue.  Garret themselves say that it\'s not generally needed, but may be needed depending on oil pressure. .  As rotary engines have 100psi plus oil pressure they can blow oil past without a restrictor.  Like I said open to debate.
V8 fd\'s rock :cool

May sound silly but have you made sure your breather pipes are not blocked (the ones off your oil filler neck ?
