BAD Day, sorry to say I had just got the car through its MOT with no faults when on the return home some one rear ended me at approx 50 mph and pushed me under the rear of a van the cars in such a bad way still drivable and not faults to any running gear  bonnet, light cluster, wing, but the front and rear body kit has been blown away  rear light cluster ,boot ,the thing that save the car was the tow hitch no air bags deployed but the one in the other car did

Been in hospital for the last 8 hours more scans tomorrow RIP the orange Rex

Thanks again lads and lasses and  no  I will not be braking the car up for parts, all parts will be crushed if I cannot find the strength to rebuild it   That and an engine rebuild just to much to do I would take me 8 months mind you I was looking for an other project sick or what

Tony, the only saving grace in this is that you are obviously well enough to post up on there, so I hope any injuries to you are superficial and you are fully fit really soon.

As for the car - what can I say, absolutely gutted to hear the level of damage. I\'m just so annoyed at the guy being you, what the heck was he doing?

I hope, once the obvious trauma of the this event, physically and emotionally, are behind you, you can see a way to resurrect your unique RX-8.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Terrible news Tony!!

50mph impact and no airbags went off!! wow.
Still, you walked away and you say the car was still drivable, a real testament to the strength of an RX-8.

I do hope you are ok, and suffer no long term injuries from this.

All the best,
Ian.

Oh no Tony, sorry to hear of your accident. Hope you\'r physically okay. Its easy to say its only metal and plastic, but I know that\'s not true.

Have a speedy recovery and I know you will consider all options before making a decision regarding the \'8.

All the best
